The Fee Master: Orthodontic Fee Calculation Method - Part 1
by: Elizabeth M. Barrett
The Fee Master is a two part practice management “pearl" appropriate for any orthodontist seeking a quick, easy method for fair, consistent, calculation of treatment fees. Part one is an overview with a discussion of the Orthodontic Fee Calculation Report. Part two provides a discussion and application of the Report. One of the most powerful tools you can use, the orthodontic fee calculation method described in this presentation will provide participants with a mechanism for establishing treatment fees based on the unique needs of each patient including the appliances required for treatment, the duration of treatment, the severity of the problem based on initial diagnosis and the retention phase of treatment. This method provides a proven solution to the negative impacts of over or under estimating treatment fees and illustrates how production and income can improve as a result of fair, accurate fee determination and increased case acceptance.
